Butterflies 1, 2 & Busy Bees
This age range is from 3-5 years and all the children work with a play based emergent curriculum that is underpinned by Aistear and SÃolta, learning through doing and practicing skills that will stay with them for life such as pouring, spooning, threading, sorting, and problem solving. Each room has qualified Early Years Educators and the children are also introduced to cultural activities such as the life cycle of the frog and the butterfly.
The ratio for this age group is 1:6 for the 3-4 year olds and 4-5 years is 1:8. All children enjoy the free play time as well as the garden time when they can run, jump and climb, and are physically challenged. We at Jigsaw are very confident that all our programmes mirror the core principles of Siolta- the National Framework for Early Childhood & Education developed by CECDE, and the themes of Aistear

Aistear is the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework.
All staff are qualified to high standard some with FETAC level 5, 6, 7 & 8. All staff members also have First Aid Training, Manual Handling, and Child Protection.
We are working towards Siolta - The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education. At Jigsaw we see our staff as the most important tool to providing you and your child with a very high standard of care and education.
